Webinar on Using Mobile Phone Data for Official Statistics on Information Society Statistics

This webinar is organized by the United Nations Regional Hub for Big Data in Brazil, with the collaboration of the INE of Chile and the Statistics Division of ECLAC. It is part of a cycle of videoconferences that aims to highlight the potential of using mobile phone data for the production of official statistics, and address the challenges for its implementation.

On this occasion, the approaches to quantify the information society using new data sources, like MPD, or integrating them with traditional data sources will be addressed. It will include the participation of Mr. Alexandre Barbosa from Nic.br, Mrs. Maria do Carmo Bueno from IBGE, and Mr. Marcelo Pitta from Nic.br.

There will be portuguese-english-spanish translation.
