Objectives

Promote and develop initiatives that support countries in the evaluation and analysis of the 2010 round of housing and population censuses.
Boosting the exchange of knowledge and experiences among countries.
Determining how countries carried out their recent censuses in terms of content, methodologies and technologies, and evaluating the experience in the light of the results obtained.

Support and promote the implementation of the 2010 round of censuses in the countries of the region.
Provide assistance with census management and operation as well as the conceptual design of content.
Apply technology for gathering and processing census data.
Analyse and disseminate information.
