Objectives
General objective
Develop a practical guide for the national statistical offices of Latin America and the Caribbean on the publication of data and metadata ready for use in artificial intelligence applications.
Specific objectives
- Prepare a technical report comparing the most widely used standards for publishing data and metadata and recommend the standard best suited for use in artificial intelligence models in the region.
- Carry out a practical exercise using a basic set of official indicators from one of the region’s statistical offices, applying the recommended standard.
- Within the framework of the Statistical Conference, create a network of professionals specializing in technology, innovation and artificial intelligence to ensure ongoing coordination on regional challenges in these areas.
